Total weight per roll

The 0.5 g/inch roll carries 30 g total. The 1 g/inch roll carries 60 g total. Most setups use 2 to 10 g, so one roll lasts multiple paddles.

How much weight should I add?

Start with 2 to 4 g total and play a full session before adding more. Small changes feel bigger than you expect. Touch players usually stay under 6 g. Power players run more.

Will it slow my paddle down?

Depends where you put it. Weight at the top raises swing weight (more power, slower hands). Weight at the sides mostly adds stability. Weight at the handle actually makes the paddle feel faster.

Is tungsten safe to handle?

Yes. Unlike the lead tape common in racket sports, tungsten is non-toxic. No gloves, no sealant required. That is why we do not sell lead.

Will the strips stay put?

The adhesive is strong on its own. For tournament-proof hold, cover edge-mounted strips with FortyFour Edge Tape. It is designed to anchor tuning weights down.

Which density should I buy?

New to tuning: 0.5 g/in. It is more forgiving and easier to fine-tune. Know you want a heavy build: 1 g/in gets you there with shorter strips.
